How does it work?

Because we offer a unique position, we are very selective in our hiring process. We welcome everyone to apply and look to hire the most high-level, qualified talent.

We ask our team members to determine the number of hours they would like to commit to working. Typically, our CPAs are looking for part-time, flexible work, though we can also accommodate full-time hours. We look for a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week (averaged). With our focus on work-life balance, generally our new team members experience a training and on-boarding period in which we strive to reach desired hours within the first 3 – 6 months of joining our team. Workload is determined by availability of work and is assigned to those on the team with room in their schedule to take on new clients and those that have the skills for the work required.

In those first few months, we build up workload over time in order to ensure our team is not overwhelmed and can properly manage the work-life balance we strive to maintain among all members of our team. We also want to make sure we’re taking care of our client with superior service. This is a delicate balance and is the focus of our firm so we take a slow and steady approach to be sure all the pieces fit.

Open Positions

Experienced Part-Time Tax CPA

We are looking for professionals with the following qualifications to join our virtual team:

  • CPA applicants must have an active license 
  • Minimum commitment of 20 hours per week
  • Small firm/business experience + tax background required
  • Proactive communication
  • Financial Statement Analysis and Advisory preferred
  • QuickBooks/Online experience preferred
  • Our team must become QBO ProAdvisor certified before work will be assigned
  • Candidates will need all hardware to fulfill duties including a secure Windows-based computer with MS Office Suite, high speed internet (min. 15mbps download/5 mbps upload speeds recommended), telephone. You will also need Adobe DC or higher.  
  • Position requires (at minimum) a Bachelor’s degree.

Experienced Part-Time CPA

We are looking for professionals with the following qualifications to join our virtual team:

  • 5 years of working with small to mid-size businesses a plus
  • Proactive communication
  • QuickBooks/Online experience preferred
  • Business (and personal) tax background a plus
  • Financial Statement experience preferred

Part-Time Executive Assistant & Special Projects Coordinator

Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, the Executive Assistant provides executive support to the three partners. The main role of the Executive Assistant is to lighten the load of the partners. 

The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgement in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. The Executive Assistant will have the ability to work independently on special projects, from conception to completion, and must be able to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion. Successful candidates will be able to assist with basic information systems operations including hardware, software, desktop support, internal communications, and strategic systems development and planning.  

Roles and Responsibilities

Partner Support

  • Managing partner calendars
  • Managing and prioritizing partner email and tasks
  • Preparing communication on the partners’ behalf
  • Managing attendance and tracking of partner CPE
  • Helping partners stay on top of monthly reporting duties
  • Helping partners stay focused on quarterly goals
  • Working closely with partners to keep them well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, following up appropriately
  • Hardware and software research and support
  • Designing and producing complex documents, reports, and presentations
  • Collecting and preparing information for meetings with staff and outside parties
  • Managing and ordering supplies for partners
  • Additional tasks as assigned 

Client Support on Behalf of Partners

  • Managing client signatures on engagement letters in a timely manner. Following up with clients when necessary
  • Managing gifts/cards of congratulations/sympathy for clients
  • Client onboarding
  • Composing and preparing correspondence and maintaining contact lists
  • Manage and schedule regular meetings for partners with clients as per engagements
  • Additional tasks as assigned

Team Support

  • Organizing the dates of our team meetings and making sure we have CPE scheduled for one call per month.
  • Managing finding CPE for team meetings
  • Assistance managing software issues as needed
  • Basic software support
  • Assist with information systems
  • Additional tasks as assigned

Projects

  • Provide leadership to all levels of the organization to meet their current and future information needs.  Supervise IT consultants. Prepare budget recommendations
  • Strategic systems development, planning, and support
  • Driving new software demos, software meetings and assistance rolling out new software to the team

Research

  • Assisting in researching new software options as needed
